Faith + Fashion = "Dovetail Clothing Company"

 Last week, I had the honor to do a phone interview with Courtney Kimble the intern at Dovetail! I had an immediate connection after visiting the site and the insightful information Courtney shared with me. Mercedes Gonzalez is the founder of Dovetail which is based in New York and here is the story. What made Mercedes start this clothing company, along with what does it stand for? "Well Mercedes has a love for fashion and has been in the fashion industry for a long time now. She wanted to find herself spiritually and her vision was to connect herself with other Christians. Dovetail is different from other lines because it is modest but very fashionable at the same time. Mercedes believe that the message is more important than the brand, so the company doesn't use tags/logos but a small Christian fish symbol"

When people think of Christian clothing they put it in one box, what type of apparel/style does Dovetail carry? "We have dresses, classic shirts, polo's etc. We standout because we don't just do t-shirts, we actually have stylish clothes to wear out to different christian events or casual wear. Whats the special detail on the polo? "On the polo we have a special prayer pocket with the Lord's prayer printed in the pocket, so that mades our polo really unique."

I think Dovetail is such a diligent and inspiring Christian clothing company! It has major purpose, and I am excited for their Spring/2012 release. Their are garments available for order and they are perfect for that meaningful Holiday gift!
